Advancement
I support higher education by empowering philanthropy and creating enduring relationships that are deeply meaningful for the contributors. This perpetuates the academy's history and culture.
Comprehensive Fundraising Campaigns
At Columbia College, I successfully led the planning and execution for the $10 million Tradition Meets Tomorrow comprehensive campaign that exceeded its goal. (See note at the bottom of this page.)While at the University of Missouri-Columbia, I organized the College of Arts and Science’s $40 million component of the institutional comprehensive $600 million campaign. The overall institutional goal was eventually increased to $1 billion and the College exceeded its goal.
Philanthropic Giving Principles
My letters as executive director, which appeared in Columbia College's Annual Report, highlight my personal and professional commitment to and passion for higher education advancement. (See note at the bottom of this page.)
Alumni Association Strategic Plan
As Executive Director of Development, Alumni, and Public Relations, I oversaw how Columbia College supported and partnered with our alumni. This strategic plan brochure outlined our core values and commitment to alumni. (See note at the bottom of this page.) View the brochure.
Presidential Inauguration
I chaired the inauguration for the 17th president of Columbia College. In addition to the pomp and circumstance for the community at large, the event was student, faculty, and staff-centric with a student video-game tournament where the finalist played the president for textbooks and a faculty-staff-student sand volleyball tournament. The video-game tournament trended on social media and garnered national media coverage. (See note at the bottom of this page.) View the inauguration program.
Mizzou Performing Arts Showcases
I created and produced musical and theatrical student showcases at the University of Missouri-Columbia by securing funding, collaborating with faculty, staff, and alumni, and negotiating with venues in New York City, Washington, DC, and St. Louis. (See note at the bottom of this page.)The showcases included:
- Mizzou on Tour. A musical showcase for MU students at such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and The Sheldon Concert Hall.
- Mizzou on Broadway. A theatrical showcase featuring MU playwrights and performers at the York Theatre in New York City.
Note: The caption for each video, image, and document explains which institution is associated with my work sample. I was an employee of the specified institution when the work sample was created. For example, if the caption specifies the University of Missouri-Columbia, then I was an employee of the University of Missouri-Columbia when the work sample was created. The referenced institution owns the work.
